Dear Listener,

Known, unknown, whoever you are, we are happy you’ve found your way to this release. “ALLOSTASIS” is a project that is child of its time. It is an imprint of personal experiences; a reflection of life in music throughout the years, especially those of its creation. This EP is inspired by moments of mindful exploration where intuition leads the path.

In addition to the 3 tracks made by Edmond Wells and Sip Zhe in winter 2023, Javier Salazar came along with a reinterpretation of Track Recurring (B2). With their label “Klape Nunsen” Salazar has been curating a remarkable collection of genre-blurring releases—each one a unique narrative in sound. His reinterpretation expands the textural landscape of the EP, exemplifying the kind of borderless, interpretive music that defines both his artistic language and the spirit we share.

Additionally, attached in each vinyl cover, Josi Olufemi wrote & designed a compact paper to supplement the record with deeper insights, backgrounds and reflections on “Allostasis”.

“ALLOSTASIS” is the first part of an incoming series about the (dis)balances of life. Through this project, a long friendship now unites in artistic collaboration for the very first time. An experiment that shall serve as a basis for future projects. From the production of first ideas & the vinyl-pressing in Leipzig East, to visualising shapes & language for its cover/inlay – many hands were involved in its creation, just like many ‘first times’. We are simultaneously thankful, nervous & curious to put it ‘out there’.

We’d like to invite you into this exploration with time & conscious attention. Take a moment to settle in somewhere calm, set distractions aside, and let the music unfold gently as you allow yourself to be carried along by its flow.
